HEALING & RENEWAL

Oh, Heavenly Father, You are the great physician. I know You’ve brought healing in the past and I know that You can do that now. I come to You seeking healing and renewal. Please clear up the sickness I am suffering from and bring me back to good health to allow me to return to the field/court at the right time. Give those who are caring for me the wisdom they need to treat me in a way that would bring the healing I need. Father, please give the hope that I need to keep from giving up. Help me to be disciplined to do all I need to do to restore my health and enable me to live the life You’ve called me to. I ask all this in the healing name of Jesus, amen. 

Dear Jesus, please touch me with Your healing hand. I know You know more about what is going on with me than any health care professional. I have struggled so much and need to be well. Please take away my pain and make me strong. Give the doctors, nurses, lab workers, and anyone else connected with me the wisdom to treat me in a way that will make me healthy again. And whether it’s through medication, body responding, or a miracle from Your good hand, that makes me strong, again, I’ll be sure to lift up Your name in praise. In the name of Jesus, the Great Physician, amen.

Dear Heavenly Father, I am in need of rest. Right now, my life is out of balance and it is causing me to struggle. Please relieve the pressure I am feeling and give me the opportunity to disengage and rest. As I rest, I pray that You would replenish my energy and grant me peace and strength. Help me to see that You desire for us to live our lives in balance and that rest is to be a part of that balance. Your word commands us to stop working and spend time resting and worshipping You. As hard as that is as an athlete, help me to see that and embrace it so I will find myself in the center of Your will. Thank You for the blessing You are going to bring my way. Amen.

God of all peace, I ask You to bring peace to me at this time. Help me to feel a special kind of peace during this time of turmoil and trouble in my life. Please give me Lord, the peace that passes all understanding that comes from knowing and following You. Draw me to those special places in Your word that would bring peace and comfort to me on the soul level. From Your Holy Spirit living in me, calm my fears and doubts, and strengthen my faith. Even in the midst of this struggle, speak to me and let me know that You love me with an everlasting love and that nothing will come my way without going through You first. May this bring great peace to my heart and mind during this time of trouble. In Jesus’ name, amen.

Almighty God, please help me to rejoice in You and the salvation You have brought. Help me to see clearly all the blessings You have brought into my life and give me a heart of thankfulness and rejoicing. Please change my heart from one of worry and doubt to a heart of joy and faith. Help me to trust You more and more each day and to see how fulfilling life can be when it is lived in obedience to You. Please make the “joy of the Lord” my strength and give me a life that will be an example to all those around me causing others to want to follow You. In the name of Jesus, I pray, amen.

Dear Jesus, help me to experience the real freedom that comes from knowing You in an intimate way. Let me discover the depth of joy that comes from being free-really free. As much as I love being on the field/court, I want to be in Christ even more. Bring to my mind the things that are holding me back and give me a willingness to cut those things off from my heart and mind. Please take off the shackles and strongholds the devil has placed on my life and give them the freedom that comes from knowing that all my sins have been forgiven and a new life is found in Jesus Christ. Through our word, show me truth so I will KNOW the truth and it will set them free. Amen.

Dear Lord, please give me the stability I need to live the life You have called me to. Right now, everything in my life is so up and down that it’s hard for me to move ahead. It is so easy to get caught up in our life on the field/court that we forget the true reason we were put on this earth. Father, please show me from the Scriptures how to achieve and maintain balance in my life. Help me to understand the importance of slowing down and putting things in proper perspective. Please bring someone with wisdom alongside me to help me achieve the stability I need so I can live the life You have called me to. In Your Holy name I pray, amen.
