PURPOSE & CALLING

Dear Lord, I know You have a special purpose for my life. I know You want good things for me and even those around me. Help me to find the purpose You have for me, whether that is on the field/court or not. Give me the wisdom and discernment I need to discover Your perfect will for me. Show me from Your word, Lord, Your direction for my life and give me the strength to choose to follow You. Father, please bring to me wise people that will help me to learn what it is You have for me. Help others to direct me in the path You want me to take and build in my faith to follow You every step of the way. In Your Holy name I pray, amen.

Dear Jesus, please help me make the right choices in the goals I have for my life and athletic career. By reading Your word, help me to clearly understand what it is You want for my life and how that should shape the goals I pursue. Direct me to make godly goals-goals that would honor You and bring You glory. Please bring someone of wisdom and godly character my way to guide me in developing goals that would please You. By Your Spirit working in my heart, help me to know Your will in this area and give me the discipline and desire to follow You on and off the field/court. Thank You for the blessing You will be bringing my way. In the name of Jesus, amen.

Dear Lord, Your word is filled with examples of leaders both good and bad. Please help me to be a good leader. Please develop in me the characteristics of a good and godly leader that allows us to be successful on and off the field/court. Give me the energy and the wisdom to lead in a way that would bring You praise and honor. Help me to lead with the right combination of my heart and my head and bring me the support from those who come under my leadership. And may all those who follow me see clear evidence of Jesus in my life and style of leadership. And it’s in His name I pray, amen.

Dear Father, I am struggling with so many responsibilities. I am being pulled in so many directions and carrying so much weight. Whether it is on the field/court or off of it, please help me with this. Please give me wisdom to see what is important and what is not. Help me to prioritize my responsibilities so I can manage my life better. Please bring me help and support from others who will help me carry the load of all I have to do. Please help me to be strong and courageous as I handle all the responsibilities that have come my way and help me to handle things in a way that would bring You honor. In the name of Jesus, I pray, amen.

Dear Heavenly Father, please give me the opportunity I am hoping for. I know that You know all things, and If this is Your will, please move on the hearts and minds of the decision makers so they will notice my athletic ability and offer me the chance to prove myself. And with this opportunity, put me in a position to speak boldly about You and to lift up Your name to all those around me. Give me strength and courage from Your word to honor You in everything I say and do and help me to influence all those around me to honor You as well. I ask all these things in the name of Jesus, amen.

Dear Lord, please help me in my work. With the heavy load I am carrying, please give me the strength to be able to handle all that I have to do. Please give me the motivation to do everything with excellence, understanding that I am really working for You and Your glory. Grant me wisdom Father, to know what to do and how to do it. Almighty Lord, please bring others around me to help me in the work I am doing. Help me to receive the help that is offered and guide me to make great progress in everything I do. I ask all these things in the name of Jesus, amen.

Dear Father, please help me experience success in what I am doing. But Lord, don’t give me success according to what the world thinks. Give me success in Your eyes and according to Your wisdom. Show me from Your word how You view success and what You expect of those who have achieved success. Please motivate me to please You and to bring honor and glory to Your name. Let me see that a faithful person, one who lives to please You is already experiencing success and that to live in the center of Your will brings all the joy that any earthly success can bring. I ask this seeking Your will, amen.

Dear Father, I know You are the giver of all good things and that all the riches of the earth are Yours. Please help me to prosper in everything I do. As You help me to be very successful also help me to keep things in proper perspective. Instill in my heart a desire to be generous with what You have blessed me with and to glorify You in my success. I pray that You will give me a platform to share with others the gospel of Jesus Christ and that my prosperity will be used to grow Your kingdom. In the name of Jehovah Jireh, the great provider, amen.
